I'm not earning megabucks (yet) so I can't spend a crap load of money on a mic.

As a result, I have to set it to push-to-talk and I hate push-to-talk because I always need to talk when the game gets intense and having to rely on an extra finger to push and hold a button decreases my overall performance in that situation, causing me to lose fights OR forget to press my mic button to inform my team if important strategy.Įither way it's frustrating. When we group up in games and I have my mic set to open, she always complains that she can hear her voice and that it's annoying her. Every time I'm using my mic, it picks up her voice in the background fairly loudly and it's becoming somewhat annoying. Me and my girlfriend both game/stream in the same room (it's not huge, big enough to fit a double bed in) and we each have our desks at opposing corners of the rooms. The keyboard clicks it picks up can become overwhelming in terms of volume and people in my party complain that it's all they can hear at times (I don't have a mechanical keyboard). Although great for money, I'm finding out that it's not that good in terms of picking up JUST my voice when it does pick up my voice it's quiet and somewhat inconsistent (doesn't always pick it up, have to mess around and find a sweetspot everytime I want to use it), but yet it still manages to pick up most background noises.

I currently use the BLUE Snowball which is always picking up background noises and keyboard clicks.
